Awhile ago I was doing some research into Tamaskans, wanting to purchase one after I'd secured my new home. Having accomplished that, I was refamiliarizing myself with the breed...only to find that some breeders have split off and formed the Aatu Tamaskans? What exactly happened, and how do these "Aatu" Tamaskans differ from those you're breeding?

As of right now there is no difference. The people who split from the origiinal Tamaskans basiclly took their dogs and renamed them and formed their own registry. They have very limited stock, and what little stock they have they have no where to expand unless they introduce some other breed of dog to help their breed grow. One breeder in Scotland has brought into their Kennel another breed of dog but I do not know what their plans with this new dog are. To know more about what happened and why they split from the original Tamaskan, you will have to send me a personal email.
